I am trying to start a brochure and print advert designing business but the problem is NO BUYERS!!! I’m so discouraged. All of them say, “we want some of your sample brochures and ads.”
Great. so basically if I’m new, you can’t find buyers becasue i have no experience. This is like a catch22 situation – to get buyers you neeed samples, but to get the samples you need buyers !!!
What am I to do? This is my dream business and it’s all gone. I’ve tried all I could. Please help. I need this.Thanks
I’ve racked up an unbleivably high telephone bill making cold calls. any more ideas? i’m just terribly disappointed about my failure to get this dream business running

Produce lots of free brochures for non-profit org, church, or special events. Make sure you put a nice big logo of yours at the back with contact info. Hope that great exposures will yield new business. Good luck.

I downloaded a business card template from the internet and it saved itself directly to my dashboard, i can see it and move it around and everything but i can’t find out how to print it in business card format or even print it for that matter. Is there any way to put it on a different file like word or something and then have it print out like a normal 10 card format type of thing?

I did mine we don’t own a printer so I did it at the local library. they have a huge industrial printer and allowed me to put my own paper in. biggest thing I can say is SAVE your end final 100% happy with document as a PDF file, because the library wont have any fonts you download etc, then do trials in black and white and make sure all your measurements are ok before carrying on. 20 cents for black and white copy and $ 1 for colour

I have a Dell MFP Laser 3115cn PCL6 printer. I am trying to print a brochure, I just don’t know how to print it without the borders. I need the printer to bleed. Is there any way to trick the printer settings in order to get the whole brochure printed without the white borders? I’d greatly appreciate any help I can get on this subject. Or perhaps someone can reccommend a brochure printing program that will allow me to print without the borders? Thanks in advance..

You cannot defeat the white borders on the printer. These are the physical, built-in limitations of the printer that cannot be bypassed. The best you can do with what you have is to adjust the brochure to fit within the printable area and trim the paper to the printed area after printing to make it look borderless. Otherwise you’d have to purchase a printer that is designed for borderless printing.

You need to set the print up in you printer to print one page at a time…print one side…turn page over…put it in the printer and print page two!…or get a “duplex” printer that automatically prints one side then turns the page over for you and prints page two on the back!
I do brochures for myself and others and use a program called PrintMaster Platinum. Its rather simple to use and does a lot of that “behind the scenes” work for you.
